This is a school initiated course designed to meet the needs of students with an interest in the study and performance of classic and contemporary rock 'n' roll. The goals of the course are to introduce students to the history of rock 'n' roll, provide students with an opportunity to rehearse and perform live with other students, and ultimately write and digitally record their music to CD.
As a prerequisite, students must currently be developing their skills on an instrument that is well-suited to this genre of music (i.e. guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano/keyboard, saxophone, voice). Auditions will be mandatory to ensure the student is at a level where they are able to take full advantage of what the course has to offer.
